October
Color!
If you've been following the newsletter for a few years,
you probably already know that October is my favorite month
of the year. This year I'm having fun capturing it with
my camera. I've been so happy with the camera I bought this
spring. It's been great fun getting back into amateur photography
after so many years. I was taking pictures many moons ago,
before digital, so it's been a bit of a challenge learning
my way around a digital camera. I've still got a long way
to go, and a lot to learn, but I'm enjoying every moment
of it! The flower to the left is the pineapple sage growing
in my herb garden. When everything else is turning brown,
settling in for a long winter sleep, this fragrant herb
gives a final vibrant showing. The cottonwood tree pictured
below is the sunset view from the hot tub my family's back
deck. The photo at the very bottom is of some leaves on
the the witch hazel tree growing at the corner of my herb
garden. Besides the pineapple sage, the witch hazel is the
most colorful plant in my fall garden.
In
addition to taking pictures, I've continued with my blogging
efforts. Just recently I posted my recipe for Sweet
Potato Waffles and a Bailey family favorite, Bacon
Cheddar Cauliflower Soup.
This time of year brings a much heavier order volume to
The Original Soap Dish, as our customers begin their preparations
for the upcoming busy season. Please be assured that we
will do our best to keep items in stock, and turn around
times as close to normal as possible. In the event of an
out of stock item, or slower than 24-48 hour turn around,
we will make every attempt to communicate the fact to our
customers.
