Convention Donation Requests

We are now accepting donation requests for the 2008 convention season. The Original Soap Dish® provides a limited number of donations each year, so it is advisable to submit your request as early as possible.

The Original Soap Dish® is happy to contribute door prizes and samples for professional trade shows and conventions specific to the handcrafted cosmetics industry. We do not provide materials for social gatherings or yahoo groups. We ask that all requests submitted provide the following information: Event name, contact name, address, city, state, zip code, phone number, email address, event URL, event date, number of attendees, subject of event (ie, soap, toiletries, cosmetics, herbs). Provision of this information will help us expedite your request more quickly.

To qualify for donations, an organization must provide us with a website address announcing the event details to the general public. Announcements made on websites restricted to members only will not qualify. We will review websites to determine eligibility. We take into consideration several factors, including, but not limited to, overall design, professionalism, and ease of navigation (can users find contributing vendors easily?). Requests submitted with websites that are under construction, or "coming soon" will be rejected automatically.

Also, we require our banner, and a live link to our website to be prominently displayed on the event's website. We will provide the banner once eligibility has been established. Donations will not be shipped to an event until we are able to confirm that our banner is in place on the organization's website. It will be the organization's responsibility to inform us of the banner's placement.

In the event that a function is canceled, The Original Soap Dish® requires that any donations having been shipped to your function be returned to us within 14 days of the cancellation, at the organization's expense.

The Original Soap Dish® reserves the right to refuse donations to any event unwilling to display our banner and link, to events unrelated to the industry we serve (soapmaking, toiletries, cosmetics, etc), or to events that do not meet the above criteria.
